This is a natural hair conditioner and rinse made from a powder formulation of dried and sieved amla berries, brahmi herbs, reetha nuts, and shikakai pods. These ingredients are widely used in India to nourish and prevent greying of hair, while also gently cleansing the scalp and conditioning hair from tip to follicle. Soap nuts, a species of berry that naturally contains soap, are also included in the mix and are widely used in India to cleanse hair.

Brahmi nourishes the hair shaft and scalp for longer, thicker hair. Shikakai comes from the Acacia concinna shrub and is often used to make a slightly acidic shampoo that cleanses the hair and scalp without stripping it of natural oils. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry or Phyllanthus emblica, is a staple in Ayurvedic hair care routines.

To use the hair mask, mix one teaspoon of the powder with water, yogurt, or oil and apply it to your hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with a gentle shampoo (if using yogurt or oil) or just water to revitalize hair.
